Wander

Travel is one of my favorite things to do and I am always up for an adventure. I’m lucky that I’ve been able to live in some amazing cities and explore different countries and cultures… but I’m always itching for more! Below are some of the places I’ve been to recently, and suggestions for places to eat / things to do!

PORTUGAL – What a wonderful country full of history, wine and beautiful scenery! Click on a city/region to start exploring.

Lisbon — Porto — Douro Valley — Sintra — Évora

SANTA BARBARA, CA – 2 hours north of L.A. and a great spot for wine, food and exploring (and my hometown!). Read more about where to eat and drink in Santa Barbara here:

Why Santa Barbara is a Great Place for Wine

RUSSIAN RIVER, CA – It’s rustic, relaxed and also a top area for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

What to See and Do in Guerneville, CA

WALLA WALLA, WA – A wine destination located in Southeastern Washington (4 hours from Seattle or Portland and less than 3 from Spokane).

LAKE CHELAN, WA– a relatively new wine destination in central Washington with over 20 wineries and small-town charm.

Found your blog while researching the Lake Chelan Crush in October, we’re thinking of going. Great blog–any advice for wineries we shouldn’t miss during the Crush? Which ones let you stomp grapes?

My husband and I have a travel blog as well if you want to check it out. childfreelifeadventures.com.

Thanks for stopping by! Always enjoy hearing from other bloggers. I see you’ve been to some amazing places that are on my bucket list (like Tahiti and Thailand to name a couple). I’ll definitely have to check it out further!

As for Chelan, there are plenty of wineries to check out. Benson is a good option that’s central with a great view. The wines were pretty good, too. I also enjoyed the sparkling wines at Karma, and the setting at Rio Vista is very picturesque. We stomped grapes at Lake Chelan Winery – just down the road from Benson. You can check out my ‘Wine’ page for individual write-ups on the wineries I visited. Cheers!
